SEIDL caption: INSTALL IBM MACHINES FOR SEIFERT'S STORES — Considerable speculation was offered from a variety of on-lookers as four heavy IBM machines were installed in the local Seifert's store. It was no easy task. The machines were unloaded from a semi truck and then by use of a crane were raised on a platform and into the store through a second story window at the front of the store. The four machines, along with other equipment, will be housed in, a special room at the rear of the second floor in the store and will be used by the bookkeeping department for the entire Seifert's chain of women's clothing stores. Bob Vanderlinden of Washington is the comptroller with his office located in the local store. [Photos were shot but not published for this new item. Persons in the photo are unidentified. mk]
