WARM WEATHER. — It was almost too good to believe Wednesday afternoon when temperatures in Washington rose up above the 40 degree mark and though the sign in the picture above says stop, no one wanted it too... the warm weather that is. Many streets in Washington looked like this as bright sun and warm temperatures melted the ice and snow into puddles. But no one was complaining after more than a month in which most of the days were spent near or below the zero mark on the thermometer. — Journal photo by Bob Elliott
