VICTORY STRING — The Wayland Bombers won their 19th consecutive game without a defeat or tie Wednesday night as they wound up their current season with a 57-0 shut out over Riverside. In Wayland dressing room after Wednesday night’s game and Coach Fred Ekstrand, seated, right, poses with his co-captains Bob Nebel, left, and Danny Reschly, 150-pound senior quarter-back (back row, right). The season had ended for Nebel, a 167-pound senior guard, about a month earlier when he received a leg injury, but he was on the Bomber bench for every game. [The man at the back left is unidentified because the original negative was not found. This one was scanned it its place. mk]- Journal photo by Bob Elliott
