SEIDL caption: WINTER WONDER? — Naturally the first question is, "What is it?" A few hints are that it definitely isn't the multi-windowed United Nations building in New York nor is it a crazy mixed-up checker board either. Actually the picture was taken near the west edge of Washington and shows what tricks snow can do to a section of a rather old wire fence. It also points out that although drivers probably failed to realize it, Wednesday's seven inches of snow created some rather beautiful after-effects. — Journal photo by Bob Elliott
