SEIDL caption: HOSPITAL IMPROVEMENTS — Recent improvements at the local hospital include this room, only half of which is visible, as the other half extends behind the camera, was for over ten years nothing more than a storage room. As a result of an "employee project" the long room is now a bright four-bed ward. The other recent improvement at the hospital is the installation of cubical curtains in all of the wards. One of the new curtains is shown hanging from a rod at the left of the picture in front of the back bed. The curtain can easily be pulled out, thus blocking off that portion of the room and affording patients more privacy. — Journal photo by Bob Elliott
