SEIDL caption: SNOW REMOVAL — Barely visible beneath piles of snow is a car belonging to Fred Lamb of Des Moines. Mr. Lamb, a state auditor who was snowbound here during the blizzard, found out what happens when a car is left parked on the street in the business district while local street crews are working to remove the layers of snow from around the square. In the past other persons have found that cars parked on the square at night when the snow was being removed found it not only makes it more difficult for the street crews but also for the person who trys to dig out his car the next morning. — Journal photos by Bob Elliott
