SUMMER READING PROGRAM — Shown above are Max Maxwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Maxwell, and Gary Ballard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ballard, as they took advantage of a few spare minutes before the daily reading hour at the local library to look over a few of the hundreds of children's books there. Before each reading period the youngsters are allowed to look over the sclections of books and choose a few to check out and take home to read. The reading hour is held at the library here every weekday morning from 9 until 10 o'clock. Over 200 local youths have registered for the summer morning program so far. — Journal photo by Bob Elliott
