SEIDL caption: BRIGHTON WHOOPEE DAYS - About 85 parade entries passed in front of a crowd estimated as high as 3,500 during the first day of Brighton's Whoopee Days celebration Tuesday, Douglas and Bobby Popejoy, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Popejoy, Pleasant Plain, "raced" the length of the parade route in the small home made racer. Yesterday's parade extended about one and a half miles. Brighton's celebration continues through tonight. In addition to rides and concessions a stage show will be presented in the main street at 7 p.m.
