SEIDL caption: HOMECOOKING — When boys are away from home, one of the things that is missed most is that good old home cooking, and that's especially true when Thanksgiving time rolls around. These women are packing cookies, fudge and brownies, which they had just finished baking, into boxes to be sent to two of the womens’ boys who are in the service. Jerry Strain is at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital; Larry Dean Burroughs is in Pensacola, Fla., and Ronald Burroughs is at San Diego, Calif. The women packing the Thanksgiving boxes are, from left to right, Mrs. Cobb Burlingame, (holding her daughter Melinda Jo), Mrs. Clarence Shull, Mrs. Bucky James and Mrs. Myron Burroughs. All together the women baked, packed and mailed away 16 dozen cookies and brownies, three pounds of fudge and three pounds of penuche.
